Rabbi Simcha Herschman and Margalit Pogonitz Herschman
Rabbi Simcha Herschman is the JLIC Director of Machon Lev and Machon Tal’s campuses in Jerusalem along with his wife Margalit.
Rabbi Simcha is originally from West Hempstead, NY, and learned in Yeshivat Netiv Aryeh. Simcha received a BSc in electrical engineering from Tel Aviv University. He is passionate about teaching, and he loves exercising, hiking, and cooking. In his spare time, you can find him in the Old City in Yerushalayim. Margalit is the JLIC Director of Machon Lev and Machon Tal’s campuses in Jerusalem along with her husband Simcha. She is originally from Chicago where she was involved in Bnei Akiva since childhood. Margalit learned in Migdal Oz, Beit Midrash for Women and received her BSW from Bar Ilan University. She is passionate about social work, self-care, and she loves being in nature and hosting Shabbos meals.
